Hannah joined the IOR as Managing Director of the Academy for Professional Development with 10 years of experience as an Executive Coach & Trainer working with many of the FTSE 250, Public Sector organisations and extensively within the Recruitment Industry.
 
As Managing Director of the IOR Academy, Hannah reports to the IOR’s Director General in her role to lead, develop and drive the Academy's Director team and strategy in both the UK and overseas.  Her responsibilities also include heading up the Accreditation committee to ensure IOR CPD is delivered through its approved delivery team, and that external Training Partners and IOR Centres of Excellence meet the highest standards in terms of delivery and return on investment (ROI).
 
Her background is unique in that not only is she a highly qualified Coach and Trainer but she has been a Top Biller within the recruitment industry, with records such as reaching 31 contractors out in 6 months, and being the second highest biller in the S3 group as a Permanent Consultant billing £540K in one year before being promoted to Regional Manager within the group.
 
Her qualifications include: NLP to Master Practitioner, Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation, Licensed Facilitator of several Psychometric Tests and is the published author of ‘Fight Back’, 6 Steps to beating life's challenges.

Jo joined the Institute of Recruiters as UK Director of Training and supports the UK Training and Continued Professional Development function for the Academy.

With over 13 years experience within both agency recruitment for Ochre House and internal recruitment for Hutchison 3G UK Limited and British Airways and also having gone on to train and mentor over 200 recruitment businesses within the UK, Jo is best placed to ensure our members have access to the very best in education and training delivery.

Jo’s experience in training design, delivery and consultancy is second to none and her passion and drive for the highest standards make her a critical member of the Academy team.

 

Karin-Dean

Karin Dean - CPsychol BA(Hons), MSC, PGDip Psychotherapy, PGCert Work Based Learning ILM (Level 7) Diploma in Leadership Mentoring & Executive Coaching.

Karin’s initial career was as an IT Specialist and Management Consultant working on change initiatives and project management across government, manufacturing, travel, finance and media sectors.  

She is now a Chartered Occupational Psychologist, specialising in management development, training, recruitment, coaching and career management.  In addition to strong expertise in executive coaching, Karin brings a complementary skill set in designing robust assessment methods for selection and development, together with group facilitation skills and the design and delivery of training solutions.  She has strong interests in leadership development, team building and communication skills.  Karin has met many individuals who are struggling in their role and believes that there could be more investment in thorough recruitment practices to ensure the right fit of candidates to roles, and development of individuals to help them bring more strengths to their work.  Karin has worked across sectors with a wide variety of clients including consultancy firms, local and central government, finance organisations, automotive, travel and education.  Recent projects have included the design and implementation of development centres, a performance management programme and leadership development programme.  She also runs a number of ILM-accredited training courses and designs and runs workshops on a variety of themes including Performance Management, Career Management, Emotional Intelligence and Resilience.

Karin is keenly interested in aspects of lifelong learning, especially in access to on-going opportunities for university-level learning and development at work.  She is currently working on developing an online course to support Higher Apprenticeships through Work-Based Learning.

As a coach, Karin’s interests centre on the psychological aspects of motivation, achievement, fulfilment and balance.  She works with her clients to help them achieve their potential and maintain wellbeing.  She coaches individuals at all levels in the organisation and her recent experience includes coaching university directors, a science-park CEO, directors of a new start-up company and mid-life career-changers.  

Karin is committed to facilitating performance, achievement and development at individual and corporate level.  She has strong facilitation skills in enabling clients to identify their true goals and plan the way forward, challenging them to tackle the barriers to achieving those goals.
