Five Million CVs… Now What?

Recently CV-Library celebrated five million registered CVs on its established database, keeping our title as the UK’s fastest growing online job board and largest CV database.

Recruiters are always asking us what our future plans are, how big can our database get and more importantly how many NEW CVs does CV-Library hold? So, I thought I’d share some insights with you:

• Future Plans

We are already planning our next big offline marketing campaign. Following the success of our TV and London Underground campaigns in January we’re looking at new opportunities for the autumn. You will definitely see our TV adverts in the popular gym chains across the UK again and we’ve got some exciting print campaigns due to be launched soon.

Our portfolio of client products is also growing month by month. Alongside the CV database and job posting facilities we are looking at new ways to enhance our clients’ recruitment campaigns; this includes social media profiles and mobile solutions.

• How Many More CVs?

It certainly won’t stop at five million CVs. Our database has grown by over one million CVs in less than a year so you can expect to read about another milestone very soon. As our brand recognition increases and our network grows we are expecting many more CV registrations.

It’s important to remember that we require all candidates to have a registered UK address before they can upload their CV. This is one of the ways we keep our database clean and provide recruiters with access to relevant UK-based jobseekers.

• NEW Candidates

Recruiters are often hesitant about how many new CVs are actually added to the database each month. On average, we receive 135,000 NEW CVs every month. Alongside this approximately 50,000 candidates update their CV every month.

It’s certainly challenging communicating with such vast numbers of candidates and encouraging them to keep their CVs up to date. But we have a great system in place with regular email updates and jobs feeds sent to our candidates to bring them back to the site and actively job seeking. It’s also very easy for a candidate to delete their CV; cleansing the database and keeping it as up to date as possible.
